You guys have a MASSIVE following in the middle east! Your servers are really the best options (for those that don’t live close to EU). So I was wondering if we were ever going to get dedicated servers in the middle east.
We are very much open to it, we need to be able to compare the number of gamers we would be catering to with a Middle East location versus further locations in Asia (Seoul, Tokyo etc).
Could you help us out with some information? Approximations are good as well
If we were to launch servers in Dubai for e.g. how many countries and CS:GO scenes does that unlock and roughly how big are those respective scenes?
Hows the routing of northern african gamers to Dubai and whats the scene there like?
If we feel that Dubai is a prime central location to unlocking a lot of countries and scenes for CS:GO, we would launch the servers within the month.
Getting servers in Dubai will allow players from several countries to be able to play with better ping, including Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE, just to name a few. Countries like the UAE can play on Mumbai with acceptable ping, whereas Saudi Arabia and Bahrain get ~90-120ms. Getting servers in Dubai will not only help out people in the UAE, but also cut people’s ping in Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar in half. People in Egypt/North Africa will get ~60ms to Dubai as appose to 150ms to Mumbai.
If you need further information, feel free to email me again.
kuwait oman and pakistan 20 ping
saudi and qatar 40-60
dont know about others
Wow, so where did things move after this? Were there any updates?
